Job Description

At Palo Alto Networks, we are seeking a Domain Consultant (formerly Senior Solutions Engineer) to join our Idira team in Japan. As a Domain Consultant for Identity Security, you will seamlessly blend technical expertise with sales acumen to provide guidance in customers' identity security transformation and Zero Trust journey.

You will be the expert for our Idira portfolio, our comprehensive identity security platform, playing a pivotal role in securing technical wins during the sales cycle.

You will proactively guide and oversee the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working closely with sales, solution sales, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and product management teams to advocate for our solutions. By defining technical solutions that protect customers' most critical digital identities across all environments, you will evangelize our industry leadership and establish Palo Alto Networks as the customer’s identity security partner of choice.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate a deep technical understanding of Idira and associated technologies, staying at the forefront of industry advancements.
• Lead technical pre-sales activities and secure opportunities.
• Navigate the technical process and address any escalations that may arise.
• Proactively identify new sales prospects by cultivating and nurturing relationships with potential and existing clients.
• Present CyberArk’s technical value proposition with eloquence and precision.
• Craft compelling responses to the functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
• Ensure the success of customer proof-of-concepts (POCs) and proof-of- value (PoVs).
• Effectively convey client requirements to our Product Management teams and provide technical perspectives at Idira’s and partners’ seminars and industry trade shows.
• Collaborate with relevant organizations and individuals to provide an effective outcome to a customer’s business through our solution.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of presales or similar experience within the high-tech sales sector, with a demonstrated track record of success.
• Strong experience with Windows/Active Directory administration and operations, with some knowledge of UNIX/Linux.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality product demonstrations to both technical and executive audiences.
• Deep discovery skills that are used for identifying a customer/prospect pain/expectation leveraging their experience and knowledge about industries and markets.
• An understanding of security concepts and the development of security roles within organizations that meet functional, technical, and regulatory requirements.
• Operational experience with LDAP directories and LDAP Authentication methods or SAML/OIDC authentication with IDP and authorization with OAuth.
• Enterprise application authentication experience is a plus (e.g., .NET, Java, CLI).
• Application development experience and scripting knowledge are preferred.
• A smart, bold, but humble attitude to work collaboratively across the organization.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), SANS, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, or similar are highly desirable.
