仕事内容

決算・開示

• IFRSに基づく連結・単体決算の取りまとめ
• 決算短信、有価証券報告書等の開示書類の作成・レビュー
• ロシュへのグループレポーティング、監査法人対応

会計アドバイザリー・プロジェクト

• 重要取引に関する会計論点の検討、社内各部門への助言
• 新基準の導入対応、税務との連携
• ロシュと連携したグローバルな会計・ERPプロジェクトへの参画

Background to recruitment:

As part of the Roche Group, Chugai is elevating its financial reporting to global standards. With major changes underway, including the adoption of IFRS 18 and the transition to a global ERP platform, we are looking for an experienced professional to play a central role in our IFRS closing and disclosure process and help drive this transformation alongside Roche and stakeholders across the business.

You will start as a hands-on individual contributor leading day-to-day operations, with the opportunity to grow into either a people management role or a senior expert role.

Description of work:

[Financial Reporting & Disclosure]

• Lead the consolidated and standalone financial close under IFRS
• Prepare and review external disclosures, including quarterly earnings releases and the Annual Securities Report
• Own group reporting to Roche and manage the relationship with external auditors

[Technical Accounting & Projects]

• Assess the accounting implications of significant transactions and advise business partners across the company
• Lead the implementation of new accounting standards and partner with the Tax team
• Contribute to global accounting and ERP initiatives in partnership with Roche

Position Features:

Own the financial close and disclosure at one of Japan's leading pharmaceutical companies

Move beyond an audit or advisory role: make the accounting calls yourself and take end-to-end ownership from close to disclosure. You will work on complex accounting topics unique to a research-driven pharmaceutical company.

Work with globally harmonized standards, processes, and systems in regular dialogue with Roche's accounting and finance teams, including opportunities to collaborate directly with Roche Finance.

求める経験：

必須

• 監査法人、コンサルティングファーム、または上場企業の経理部門における経験（目安：通算7年以上）
• 社内外の多様な関係者を巻き込み、主体的に業務やプロジェクトを推進した経験

歓迎

• 海外拠点やグローバル組織での就労経験

求めるスキル・知識・能力：

必須

• 会計・開示論点を自ら判断できる高度な会計知識（公認会計士／USCPA／ACCAレベル）
• スピーキングを含め、英語でのコミュニケーションに臆せず対応できること
• 複雑な論点を整理し、関係者にわかりやすく説明できる力

歓迎

• 製薬業界のビジネスや特有の会計論点に関する知識
• SAP等のERPの使用経験

• 公認会計士、USCPA、ACCA等の会計資格

Desired experience:

• 7+ years of experience at an audit firm, a consulting firm, or in the finance/accounting function of a listed company
• Proven track record of driving projects and initiatives by engaging diverse internal and external stakeholders

• Experience working overseas or in a global organization

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong technical accounting knowledge, with the ability to independently form judgments on accounting and disclosure matters (Japanese CPA / USCPA / ACCA level)
• Comfortable communicating in English, including in spoken discussions
• Ability to distill complex issues and communicate them clearly to stakeholders

[Preferred]

• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and its specific accounting issues
• Hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP systems
