We are hiring a 6G Researcher in Radio Standardization, who has a strong interest in applied research, natural curiosity and should thrive in interacting with a global industry research community, and with experience in evolving radio access network (RAN) technologies and standards, by developing new research concepts and technical analysis.

This role supports Ericsson's mission to be a technology leader in standardization and in shaping tomorrow’s mobile communication networks.

What you will do

• Responsible for developing concepts and technical analysis for Ericsson to contribute in the 3GPP RAN4 working group.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical specifications for the 6G RAN standard
• Be part of a team developing concepts, running technical evaluations and working with standardization delegates.
• Play a key role in shaping the future of mobile communication by collaborating with industry experts and stakeholders both internally and externally.

The skills you bring:

• PhD or Master’s in electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of proven experience in evolving radio access technologies and standards.
• Deep knowledge of radio performance requirements. Knowledge of RAN4 technical areas and understanding of 5G NR physical layer, 5G RAN products and deployments, and propagation characteristics.
• Ability to navigate the 3GPP standardization process.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English with ability to clearly convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
• Ability to carry out system-level simulations.
• Strong collaborator in a global environment.
