Department Overview

We are looking for a team member to join the Finance Section, responsible for cash management and financing activities primarily for Rakuten Mobile.

About the Department

The Finance Section, Finance and Accounting Strategy Department, is responsible for planning and executing Rakuten Mobile’s financial strategies and financing activities, as well as managing its day-to-day cash operations.

As Rakuten Mobile continues to grow its business, the scope and complexity of its treasury operations are expanding. This provides team members with opportunities to take on a wide range of responsibilities and develop diverse expertise.

In this position, you will be involved in a broad range of treasury activities, from day-to-day cash management, including cash flow forecasting and payment operations, to financing transactions and coordination with financial institutions.

Working closely with financial institutions and various internal teams, you will develop your expertise in corporate treasury while playing an important role in supporting the growth of Rakuten Mobile.

This position is ideal for professionals looking to broaden their experience in treasury, as well as those with experience at financial institutions who are interested in applying their expertise in a corporate environment.

Position Details

Job Overview

As part of the Treasury team supporting Rakuten Mobile’s business operations, you will be involved in a wide range of treasury activities, including cash management, financing, and communication with financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Cash management and payment operations, including cash flow management
• Practical execution and coordination of financing transactions
• Communication and coordination with banks and other financial institutions
• Preparation of financing-related materials and coordination with internal and external stakeholders
• Operational improvement and digital transformation initiatives utilizing AI and other technologies
• Other treasury-related activities

Examples of Projects

You will be involved in the planning and execution of Rakuten Mobile’s unique financing transactions, ranging from several hundred million to several hundred billion yen in scale.

• Financing through sale-and-leaseback transactions utilizing base station assets
• Consideration and execution of new financing methods, including receivables securitization

• Age range: Primarily members in their 20s and 40s

Mandatory Qualifications

• Those who are interested in the financial operations
• Those who have the necessary Japanese language skills to communicate with financial institutions and conclude contracts
• Business-level English proficiency

Desired Qualifications

<Candidates with experience in any of the following>

• Those who have practical experience in domestic/overseas remittance business or bank account management
• Those who have practical experience in treasury management such as financial planning and cash flow management

TOEIC score of 800 or higher (or proof of a qualification demonstrating equivalent English proficiency, or proof of a bachelor’s degree or higher from an English-speaking country)
