Where the Data Comes From
Japan requires every fee-charging recruitment agency to hold a government license and to report placement counts and average fee rates to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare each year. Those disclosures are public. This directory republishes them with the reporting date and a link to the official record.
Agency Directory FAQ
Short answers on data, rankings, and claiming a profile
Where does the agency data come from?
From Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare registry of licensed employment agencies. Agencies report placement counts and average fee rates there each year, and fee disclosure has been mandatory since April 2025. Each profile links to its official registry page.
Are these rankings?
No. The directory lists facts an agency has published or reported to the government. You can sort alphabetically, by reported placements, or by years licensed, but AirTA never scores or ranks agencies.
How do I get introduced to these agencies?
Create a free company account, shortlist the agencies that fit your role, and request introductions. An introduction on AirTA arrives as proposals you can compare: each agency responds with its fee, timeline, and approach for your specific role.
I run an agency. How do I update our profile?
Claim your profile with a work email on your agency domain. Once verified, the profile is linked to your agency account, and corrections and updates can be requested at support@airta.jp while profile editing is being built.
Is every licensed agency in Japan listed?
Not yet. We start with agencies relevant to professional and bilingual recruiting and expand from there. If your agency is missing, write to support@airta.jp and we can add it.
