ESET is a digital security company selling antivirus and endpoint protection software developed from its NOD engine, with technology such as an exploit blocker covering browsers, mail clients and scripting. It runs a research team that publishes through the WeLiveSecurity blog and has identified malware targeting industrial control systems and firmware. It is a privately held European company still run by its owners, and it operates a foundation supporting projects in Slovakia.
