Chinese Localization Expert (Simplified Chinese)

Job duties

Responsibilities

• Translate from both English and Japanese to produce top-quality localizations
• Proofread/Edit Simplified Chinese translations to ensure localization quality
• Provide feedback to Localization Directors on culturally sensitive issues
• Manage Chinese language assets
• Assist with Chinese voice recording preparation and recording sessions (Mainland Mandarin)
• Test Chinese assets in-game and fix issues

Qualifications

• Be a native speaker of Chinese
• Knowledge of Simplified Chinese is a must
• Have a broad knowledge of Chinese game industry in general, as well as Chinese gaming culture in mainland China
• Business-level of Japanese proficiency is a must (N1 level)
• Be able to communicate in an English-speaking environment is a must
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English is preferred
• Experience in game localization and script translation is preferred
• Be competent in self-management
• Be able to follow deadlines
• Be able to work simultaneously on multiple projects when necessary
