About This Role

To keep our operations network secure and assure operational continuity, we are looking for an experienced and customer obsessed professional who wants to join our team as Security and Loss Prevention (SLP) Cluster Manager.

In this key role, you will contribute to the execution of security strategies across a cluster of operational sites, driving consistency and excellence in security practices. You will be accountable for the delivery of security as a service to a cluster of operational sites across the end-to-end supply chain, protecting our people and preventing loss through effective implementation and coordination.

Key job responsibilities

  • Be accountable for Security and Loss Prevention performance within your cluster, implementing strategic initiatives set by regional leadership
  • Lead and develop a team of Security and Loss Prevention professionals, ensuring consistent delivery of security services across your cluster of operational sites
  • Ensure site compliance, regular site audits, and physical security posture of sites within your cluster
  • Manage relevant risks within your cluster (prevention, intervention, investigation)
  • Engage senior management within your cluster to ensure a positive working relationship, understand opportunities to support, and provide security risk guidance

A day in the life

As an SLP Cluster Manager, you will lead Security and Loss Prevention professionals across a cluster of Amazon operational sites, ensuring consistent and excellent security practices.

You will oversee tactical team deployment, prioritize workload, manage risks, and ensure service level agreements are met.

Responsibilities include coaching your team, identifying and mitigating security risks, conducting site audits, and maintaining physical security compliance.

You will also manage budgetary planning for external service providers, recruit direct reports, and engage senior management to build positive relationships and provide security risk guidance.

About the team

Sitting within the Worldwide Operations Security organisation, Security and Loss Prevention (SLP) protects Amazon's business by managing threats and risks that could endanger associates and customers, disrupt operations, damage assets, or harm brand reputation.

Working in close partnership with our stakeholders across the business, we secure the Amazon supply chain end-to-end and promote security during business conversations.

We do this by preventing security and loss prevention risks and vulnerabilities as early as possible, intervening in unfolding incidents to minimize negative impact, and thoroughly investigating security-related incidents to identify and remove root causes, preventing recurrence.

Required

  • A bachelor degree or degree equivalent
  • Relevant advanced security- or risk-related experience (e.g., security services, asset protection, loss prevention, risk management, inventory management, investigations, supply chain, auditing, compliance, or similar)
  • Relevant team experience managing a team dispersed across a geographical area as well as development, hiring, and performance management
  • Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
  • Advanced proficiency in written and verbal Japanese and intermediate proficiency in written and verbal English

  • Relevant experience with physical security systems, investigation techniques, and/or management of contract security officers
  • Relevant experience with retail, warehouse, distribution center services, delivery service, or supply chain
  • Relevant experience in business writing and communicating with a wide range of senior stakeholders
  • Driver’s license
