We are looking for an Alternative Specialist to join our Japan team. As a member of the team responsible for the firm's alternative investment affiliates, including Lexington Partners, Clarion Partners, and Franklin Templeton Investment Solutions (FTIS), you will partner closely with sales team in delivering investment solutions to institutional investors and intermediary clients.
How you will add value?
- Partner with sales teams to support business development and client engagement activities across institutional and intermediary channels
- Liaise with affiliated investment managers to gather product updates, investment insights, and market intelligence
- Monitor market trends, industry developments, and competitor activity to support product positioning and client communications
- Prepare and maintain client-facing presentations, marketing materials, RFP responses, and client reports
- Support client meetings and due diligence activities
- Translate and review investment-related materials between English and Japanese, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
What will help you be successful in this role?
Required knowledge and experience:
- Knowledge of and/or experience with alternative investments, including private equity, real estate, hedge funds, and related asset classes.
- Ability to translate investment reports and other materials between English and Japanese, including reviewing and refining machine-generated translations to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Experience in preparing RFP responses, client reports, and other product-related documentation within the asset management industry.
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to asset management, together with a strong commitment to regulatory compliance.
- Broad knowledge of the asset management industry and investment products.

Preferred Qualifications
- CFA, CMA, CFP, MBA, or other investment-related professional qualifications, or an equivalent level of knowledge.
- Business-level English proficiency, including the ability to conduct discussions and negotiations in English (TOEIC score of approximately 860 or above, or a strong desire and commitment to achieving an equivalent level).
- Additional qualifications or experience related to presentation development, data analysis, or other skills relevant to business and investment operations.
